Chhabi Sewa Foundation Organizes Virtual Awareness Session on Breast and Cervical Cancer
In an effort to promote preventive healthcare and spread awareness about women’s health issues, Chhabi Sewa Foundation (CSF), in collaboration with Mon Indigenious Culture and Welfare Society (MICWS), successfully organized an online Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Session on 14 June 2026. The virtual event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, healthcare professionals, educators, social workers, and members of the community. The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by Mr. Partha Roy, who highlighted the significance of awareness initiatives in combating cancer through education, prevention, and timely intervention. He emphasized that community-based awareness programs play a crucial role in reducing the burden of cancer and improving health outcomes. The session was coordinated by Dr. Ravindra Kamble, who ensured the smooth conduct of the program and encouraged participants to actively engage with the expert discussions. He underlined the need for collaborative efforts among healthcare professionals, educational institutions, and social organizations to spread awareness about preventive healthcare practices.

The session was led by renowned gynecologist Dr. Shilpa Gupta, who delivered an informative presentation on the causes, symptoms, risk factors, prevention strategies, and early detection methods related to breast and cervical cancer. Emphasizing the importance of regular health screenings, Dr. Gupta highlighted that timely diagnosis significantly improves treatment outcomes and survival rates. The program was chaired by Dr. Omprakash Jamadar, Vice Chairman of Chhabi Sewa Foundation and a distinguished pediatrician, who welcomed the participants and underscored the need for creating awareness about cancer prevention at the grassroots level. He stressed that informed communities are better equipped to recognize early warning signs and seek timely medical intervention.
