Cyber Hygiene Practices

Chhabi Sewa Foundation and Mon Indigenous Culture and Welfare Society launched a campaign aimed at promoting cyber hygiene among the masses. The campaign was inaugurated at Janata Inter College, Pokharikhet. The grand event, held on the school premises, saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents.

The program began with an essay competition on the topic of cyber security, in which students from classes 9 to 12 participated. The objective of the competition was to develop awareness among students about digital risks, safe password practices, responsible online communication, and becoming informed digital users. The jury noted that the students presented highly impactful, well-researched, and thoughtful ideas.

The program was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest Virendra Singh Rawat and Special Guests Mr. Kamlesh Baluni and Vimla Rawat. In his address, the Principal stated that in the modern era, cyber security has become an integral part of life, and such programs make school education more relevant. The Special Guest appreciated the efforts of the foundation, stating that such awareness initiatives bring significant change, especially in rural areas.

On this occasion, the keynote speaker Dr. Atul Bamrada, Cyber Ambassador from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, guided students and teachers in detail about the importance of cyber hygiene, safe behavior on digital platforms, data privacy, protection against misinformation, and responsible use of technology. He informed that this program has been designed under the guidance of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, through a collaborative effort of C-DAC Hyderabad, Chhabi Sewa Foundation, and Mon Indigenous Culture and Welfare Society.
