The 360-degree Comprehensive Cancer Care aims to revolutionize oncology care by addressing infrastructure gaps, enhancing medical expertise, empowering communities through education and support, and leveraging technology for data-driven decision-making. By fostering collaboration among healthcare providers, researchers, and community stakeholders, the project aspires to improve health outcomes, reduce cancer mortality rates, and enhance quality of life for individuals aff ected by cancer.

Cancer Care Challenges

  • Limited Diagnostic Facilities: The availability of diagnostic tools such as MRI, CT scan, and biopsy facilities is limited, leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment initiation.
  • Shortage of Oncology Specialists: There is a shortage of oncologists, radiation therapists, and surgical oncologists in the region, resulting in delayed consultations and treatment decisions.
  • Awareness and Early Detection: Awareness about cancer prevention, early symptoms, and the importance of early detection through screening programs is low among the local population. This contributes to late-stage presentations of cancer, reducing treatment success rates.
  • Financial Constraints: Many residents in rural areas face financial constraints, limiting their ability to aff ord expensive cancer treatments, medications, and supportive care services.
  • Psychosocial Support: There is a lack of structured psychosocial support programs for cancer patients and their families, impacting their emotional well-being and overall quality of life during treatment and recovery.
