Community members from different age groups joined the session, reflecting the inclusive spirit of International Day of Yoga.

The events brought together students, teachers, community members, volunteers, and local stakeholders to practice the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush. Through guided yoga sessions, pranayama, meditation, and awareness activities, participants were encouraged to adopt yoga as a way of life for physical fitness, mental well-being, emotional balance, and healthy ageing. In Uttarakhand, the programme was led by Dr. Atul Bamrara, who emphasized the role of yoga in fostering holistic health, emotional balance, and lifelong wellness. Participants enthusiastically performed the Common Yoga Protocol and engaged in awareness activities highlighting the relevance of yoga in contemporary life. The event reinforced the message that yoga is not merely a physical exercise but a way of life that nurtures harmony between body, mind, and spirit.

The celebrations reflected the commitment of both foundations towards promoting holistic health, wellness, and community engagement through yoga. By organizing simultaneous activities in diverse geographical regions of India, the foundations contributed to the national movement of Yoga Sangam 2026, which aims to spread the message of unity, wellness, and healthy living across the country. Meanwhile, in Arunachal Pradesh, Dude Ngomdir (Head – Arunanchal Pradesh Unit) led the programme, inspiring participants to embrace yoga for physical fitness, mental peace, and healthy ageing.
