Celebrating the Bond of Love and Creativity: Rakhi Making Competition Across Uttarakhand and West Bengal

Chhabi Vishwa Foundation organized a Rakhi Making Competition for school children across Uttarakhand and West Bengal as part of its celebration of Raksha Bandhan. The initiative aimed to provide children with a joyful and creative platform to understand the cultural significance of the festival while expressing their imagination through handmade rakhis.

Students participated enthusiastically and created beautiful, innovative rakhis using colorful, locally available, reusable, and eco-friendly materials. The activity encouraged children to explore their creativity, develop fine motor skills, and experience the joy of learning through hands-on activities. Beyond the artistic aspect, the competition also helped children reflect on the values of love, care, respect, affection, and the importance of relationships symbolized by Raksha Bandhan.

Organizing the competition in Uttarakhand and West Bengal also highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to connecting children across different regions through common cultural and educational experiences. Despite geographical and cultural diversity, the enthusiasm of the children demonstrated the shared values that bring communities together.

The Rakhi Making Competition was more than a craft activity – it was an opportunity to combine culture, creativity, sustainability, and joyful learning. Chhabi Vishwa Foundation expresses its sincere appreciation to the participating schools, teachers, volunteers, parents, and all the young participants who contributed to making the initiative meaningful and memorable.

Through such initiatives, Chhabi Vishwa Foundation continues to promote learner-centered experiences that nurture creativity, cultural awareness, collaboration, and confidence among children.
