Cancer Awareness Essay Competition at GPS No. 01, Rishikesh

When awareness begins early, communities grow stronger. In an initiative aimed at fostering empathy, health literacy, and critical thinking among young minds, an Essay Writing Competition on Cancer Awareness was organized at Government Primary School (GPS) No. 01, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand under the coordination and mentorship of Foundation’s Executive Council Member Sachin Mamgain. The initiative brought together students from middle grades to articulate their thoughts, reflect on public health challenges, and share powerful messages about prevention, early diagnosis, and compassionate community support.

Why Cancer Awareness at the School Level Matters

Cancer remains one of the most critical public health challenges worldwide, yet discussions surrounding it often carry hesitation and misinformation. Educating school-age students breaks these taboos. Through focused writing competitions, young learners are encouraged to:
